Also, if this “reporter” was honest enough, he would have noticed that Cheney was at the Federal level as VP, and Cheney only supports state re-regulation of marriage. But he isn’t honest, TheYoungTurks doesn’t care about the truth.

Yes, Cheney held office at the Federal level. But he could have used his bully pulpit (and never has the term been more aptly applied) to advocate his “freedom means freedom for everyone” position. But of course he didn’t, because that would have alienated the Bush administration’s supporters from the religious right.
