@mikeswanon8989, you can’t repeal a State Supreme Court ruling. The Iowa constitution would have to be amended, and like the President with the Federal Constitution, the Governor of Iowa has absolutely nothing to do with the process of amending the State Constitution. Branstad being in office would be completely irrelevant. It’s the State Senate and House who has to initiate the amendment process and so far such a measure has failed to pass either.

There has not been a shred of evidence that suggests that gay marriage has cause a decline in values in ANY state where it’s legal.

Please let the Iowa Supreme Court move to TN!!! I would love to have rights! Because I can’t marry my parter, I am forced to identify as a dependant and receive less financial aid than I would if I was married. Very frustrating, among other things…

Wow Iowa; You guys sure your not Canadian? lol I am just kidding, you guys are clearly a rare breed of Accepting Americans able to pass legislation that really is a no brainer :) good on you all :)

WoW Iowa is cooler than SanFran & NYC. Iowa is right there with Amsterdam and Barcelona. Damn Iowa is like the Harlem Renaisance in the 1920′s….and Iowa men have the biggest chicken breeds in the USA. mmm Cornmeal is the new Chai Latte.

Thank you, Katarah, for doing this video! Very uplifting. We can do this even if it’s one state at a time!! Equal is equal… seems pretty simple to me.
